“Since the end of our successful fund-raising campaign on Kickstarter, we’ve taken important steps in gearing up our shop for production. Nearly 200 people helped support these upgrades and we can’t thank you enough!
We’ve paired up with a notable furniture company here in Los Angeles and are proud to say Lumi Co. will be at retail before the end of 2010!”

“My talk was on China Rural Energy. Since then, my organization (CAREI) had officially formed a partnership with National Fuel Cell Research Center (aka Advance Power & Energy Program) based in UC Irvine. The plan is to systematically examine the deployment of “low-tech” energy solutions in rural China, and collaboration opportunities in the sustainable energy space between US and China. So, things are going well.”

“The ECloud is live and is looking cool at the San Jose airport, and we just got selected to do something with LCD glass at the new international terminal at the Atlanta airport.”

“PURIGENEX and I  have been part of Sundance and the Oscars, we have been on TV shows such as Extra, The Doctors nd Good Day LA, featured in US Weekly and OK Magazine and many online magazines and blogs  such as Hollywood Life, Vital Juice, Luxury Spot, Pastries and Bacon and many more! I have also been given the honor by Ocean Conservancy to be the Baja California Sur, Mexico’s Head Coordinator for the International Coastal Clean Up! Please know that the 25th annual clean up day this year is on September 25th, come and join us all across the country and world to help make our oceans and beaches healthier!”

“LA Guerrilla Gardening has been running around this year…literally.  We hosted two Metro Gardening crawls to spruce up spots near the Metro RedLine.  Both crawls were a huge success and one of them included a different live band playing at all 9 stops!  We also created our first entirely edible herb garden near Pico and Main in Santa Monica.  We’ve had a blast this year greening out city and we’re looking forward to the fall and cooler weather to put in some new gardens.”

“Since the Sustainable James talk, I have been pleasantly amused by running into several Little Green attendees at various social gatherings around town.  It has led to some wonderful conversations about sustainability, and also some great observations.  I have actually been approached by more than one individual to ask me ‘is what you are doing sustainable?’  I’m happy that I could justify what I was doing on both occasions, and it blew my mind, that one talk at Little Green, could continually impact how people view the topic, and to hold the speakers accountable for practicing what they preach.”

“Your Daily Thread was honored to receive the best sustainabilty website award from intent.com.  we just redesigned our website and have started a new web video show called “eco-curious” on next new networks threadbanger station (www.youtube.com/threadbanger).  Starting on Monday august 9th we’re giving away an eco trip to Peru and were hosting a clothing swap next Thursday at the W Hotel in Westwood.”
